Tigress electrocuted in Katni division

One tigress was electrocuted from a low hanging 11KV hightension line at Katni forest division, adjoining to Bandhavgarh tiger reserve, Madhya Pradesh on 16 November 2012 and its body found yesterday. Tigress was following a cattle during the time of incident, both animals were killed due to electrocution.

Red Sanders seized in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh

Customs seized 47 turtles at Mumbai airport

Two persons were arrested by Customs in Mumbai airport with 47 turtles including pond and keeled turtles on 29 October 2012 when try tried to smuggle the animals to Bangkok. Their passport shows that the duo had visited Bangkok several times before.
